Blue (and White) Steel Archer's passion

North Melbourne great Glenn Archer is in the state promoting Blue Steel Work Boots.

Former North Melbourne superstar Glenn Archer is at Agfest promoting Blue Steel Work Boots as their ambassador.

The role is a good fit for Archer's football career as a two-time premiership player.

“I was quite picky, as for me it is important for a company to fit my brand,” Archer said.

It was an easy transition into the ambassador role for Archer, as Blue Steel and North Melbourne, are very similar, he said.

“Both are very close and have great comradery."

Archer had originally only signed for one year with the Blue Steel Company but has recently registered another achievement, this time off field, as he has been with the company for 10 years.

“I’ve been really fortunate to be involved in promoting these great products, working in a great company and with great guys,” the 1996 Norm Smith medallist said.

In football terms, Archer is the Football Director on the North Melbourne board and was impressed with Tasmanian Ben Brown, a University of Tasmania graduate, as soon as he was drafted to the club.

“The one thing I love about Ben is, it’s very simple, but I love a trier and he tries at every contest,” Archer said.
