Bupa Celebrates 10 years of Agfest

Bupa health insurance is celebrating 10 years of attending Agfest this year.

“It’s a favourite of ours in the event calendar,” said Kelly Franjic, Bupa's state manager.

Ms Franjic said Bupa comes to Agfest every year.

“We recognise that our physical stores can’t be everywhere," she said.

“Bupa has over 200 Tasmanian employees; our valued staff members and care givers are local people just like you.

“So whether events like this are in the city or out bush, Tasmanian communities are our communities. It’s important for us to be a part of it.”

“We want to be able to reach out to people that might not normally have easy access to us.

“By engaging more with our Tassie communities we can help guide our members towards making more informed health and care decisions.”

Kathy, a Bupa member who visted the Bupa stand, said it was wonderful to have access to Bupa without having to "drive into town”.

With the internet now available Tasmania-wide, Bupa has followed the same road as many corporations by giving their members access to facilities online.

Ms Franjic said more and more people are managing their memberships over Bupa's web portals and call centres.

“This is even more prolific in Australia’s rural regions, which is why we’ve become more mobile to be able to travel regionally, and go where our members need us.”

Bupa can be found at Agfest site 815 in 8th Avenue.
