19 year old Annick Witte awarded the Agriculture and Food Systems Scholarship

Annick's passion is to get into food production and being involved with a niche business entailing unique Tassie produce.
Today's sunny weather was not the only highlight gracing 19-year-old Annick Witte's Agfest experience this year.
Ms Witte was awarded the Agriculture and Food Systems Scholarship for study in the Bachelor of Agricultural Science at the University of Tasmania.
The scholarship is awarded every year to one student who has achieved an ATAR of 97 or greater.
Ms Witte received an outstanding ATAR score of 97.65.
The scholarship awards $7,500 per year for over the four year degree.
Ms Witte describes herself as a 100% typical farm girl.
"We started in the Netherlands with a tulip bulb growing business and we moved over here 10 years ago and worked for Harvest Moon, the vegetable producers that supply all the veggies to Coles and Woolies."
Ms Witte said her passion is food production and her dream is to work with a niche business using unique Tassie produce.
