Let's focus on ability

Agfest is the place to start thinking about what's possible with Life Without Borders

Disability should not deter those who want to live an ordinary life and Life Without Barriers helps people achieve their goals.

Program manager Tony Crothers said Agfest is a great place for people to learn more about people living with a disability.

"We should highlight their abilities,” he said.

"We do disability support and most of that is through the National Disability Insurance Scheme," he said. "We also support foster carers, and work with young people with mental health issues and young offenders.”

Mr Crothers said Agfest is is an important part of their foster parent program and staff at the stall were thrilled to have already received several expressions of interest.

“This starts the process of becoming a foster parent. It was very warming and a very positive start” said Mr Crothers.
