Sweet victory for Soy Sensual

"It's a huge achievement for our first year here."

Launceston-based bath company Soy Escentual Candles won the Best Craft Display in the Craft Pavilion at Agfest this year.
Owner Amanda White she was proud that her stall - which looks more like a cake shop than a place to buy bath bombs - was selected as the best.
“It’s a huge achievement for our first year here,” she said.
Ms White started her company four years ago in Western Australia before moving to Tasmania.
Soy Escentual Candles is best known for its signature candy-themed range, which includes macaroon-shaped soy melts and frothy, chocolatey candles served in milkshake glasses.
“Anything retro, candy, 50’s diner theme -  I love it,” she said. “I became addicted to making them and my business was born.”
After doing her own research, Ms White discovered that soy was the best alternative to chemicals, such as paraffin.
"All are made from soy wax, all natural ingredients, no chemicals, no additives,” she said that Agfest was a great opportunity to talk about her brand and the benefits of buying local and natural products.
“The people we meet are fantastic - talking to locals and getting to know new business owners around us,”
she said.
