Winners are Grinners

2021’s site award winners have been announced and the winning exhibitors couldn’t be happier.

The site awards are a friendly annual competition between the exhibitors and winners take pride in adding the award winner flags to their display.

Alpaca South’s Allison was very excited after winning the award for the Best Livestock Exhibit thanks to her attention-grabbing black wool alpacas.

“I’m absolutely gobsmacked. That’s the word for it,” said Allison.

Quate from Irrigation & Dairy Solutions (Best Agricultural Machinery Display) had a bit of a fright when the award judges and committee started walking over to his exhibit.

“We thought maybe we were in trouble but then they presented us an award and it was all very surprising…it shows that we’re taking pride in our site and that’s what Agfest is all about," says Quate.

Ken from AgriTech Services (Most Accessible Site) said he didn’t think the judges had even seen their site and was certainly not expecting an award.

R U OK (Best Large Site) volunteer Claire was excited for the opportunity the award would provide to encourage more rural people to access their resources.

General manager of CTMP Pty Ltd (Best Small Site) Dale was looking forward to the recognition the award will provide the business going further.

“[This award] is something we will be able to proudly advertise. It will allow us to get our name out there a little bit better,” says Dale.

Congratulations to all winners on a well deserved win.
