A ‘power station’ full of fun

Hydro Tasmania brings an interactive experience to Agfest 2024. Go in to learn how electricity is created from water.

Australia’s leading clean energy business, Hydro Tasmania, show the way in creativity at Agfest.

This year they have installed a shipping container that looks like a power station on the outside, but on the inside is a walk through history for kids and families.

On the first game, the participants will be challenged to move machinery by using levers and buttons. After that, they will distribute electricity across Tasmania, by using a light-up map. They will also have the chance to turn a turbine and visit a modern control room.

Marshall Maher from Hydro Tasmania, says the experience has been popular so far and as an exhibitor, he has enjoyed the event.
