Orion Austsralia: Giving back to the community in any way possible

Dale Cox and Orion Australia are back at Agfest on a mission, to help inform customers and give back to the broader community

Orion Australia is looking to give back to the community through innovation in the water, septic, and agricultural tank industry and deep-rooted commitment to customers.


General Manager Dale Cox says the best strategy at Agfest, is to listen and communicate with customers. He says that most have done their research and just want to get to know the employees of the company, rather than the products.


“We have found over the years that shoppers are savvy, they know what they’re looking for, so they come here to meet us and what type of company we are.”


Orion are also involved in on-site charity. Visitors to their site can donate to a fund that supports those affected by global conflicts around the world.


“I’m a believer in giving back to the community, I know people at Agfest like giving to a good cause, and often have a few spare coins to help others in need.”


Starting off with a strong lineup of products, Orion use a business-to-business model, however that can come at a cost of brand awareness.

“People wouldn’t know they were buying our brand when they were picking up our products.”


They’ve been slowly changing that by interacting with the community to raise our brand profile. There’s a YouTube channel and Facebook group providing people with knowledge to make informed decisions on water tanks and other products they sell.
