TasNetworks sparks interest with a fun and informative site

TasNetworks has utilised Agfest to deliver its power-line safety message in a fun and interactive manner.

“We’ve got a fantastic booth set-up here, ready for us to interact with customers of all ages,” Laura Spikula says, Head of Supply Chain at TasNetworks.

Through their 2024 Agfest site, TasNetworks have focused on promoting safety and awareness surrounding power lines in a manner that is both interactive and absorbing.

“We’ve tried to cater for the children, which then brings in mum and dad as well.”

“There is an opportunity to test out what it’s like to sit in a bucket and put on all the gear that our live line crews use in the field day in day out. There is also demonstrations by Marinus and Northwest Transmissions, so a lot happening,” Laura says.

Speaking on their Agfest experience so far, TasNetworks Health and Safety EHS Officer Mark Egan says the turn-out has been great.

“We’ve had a lot of families come through so far and luckily we’ve got to see our ‘future apprentices in action,” Mark says.

“There is a lot of information-sharing and conversation flowing which is excellent and we’ve even had other exhibitors come over to see what we have going on.”
