William Adams Caterpillar launches the 'swiss army knife' of heavy machinery

The team at William Adams Caterpillar has turned to Agfest to announce a 'pack-a-punch' expansion to its product range.

"The swiss army knife of construction equipment" is how Ross Anderson of William Adams Caterpillar describes the next-gen 255 Compact Track Loader.

Officially unveiled at 11am on the opening day of Agfest, the 255 is the latest Caterpillar model sold by William Adams; a partnership that dates back to 1999.

"We're excited to be able to launch this highly serviceable piece of equipment at Agfest in front of the local community and in particular, in front of the many contractors and farmers who are here," Ross says.

"It's the first machine of its kind to be released to the market in Australia, so that certainly adds to the excitement."

Built to pack-a-punch, the 255 CTL has moved to a single-track frame for improved dynamic stability. Specs-wise, the cabin space is 22% larger and is fitted with an 8-inch touch screen monitor and advanced joystick for increased functionality.

"It's a very versatile piece of equipment that's made to last and be comfortable," says Ross.

"It can hold an array of attachments, from dozer blades and mulchers, to rotary tillers and brooms and forks. So pretty much everything you need on your job site."

The 255 CTL is certainly the William Adams team's major drawcard, but Ross says it's one of a number of impressive machines they have on show at Agfest.

"Our earthmoving, paving, energy and power systems teams, as well as our rental hire team, are all here to offer advice and information on our wide range of products and services."

"We've got something for any job," adds Ross.

The new 255 Compact Track Loader is available for pre-sale now and is set to hit job sites in June.
