Woolworths puts the spotlight on Tasmanian produce

Woolworths has shown their commitment to Tasmania with a focus on Tasmanian products and producers.

At Agfest, Woolworths has become an institution. This year, Woolworths has again put the spotlight on Tasmanian products and producers.

“It’s really about getting the word out about how many local vendors we have in our supermarkets,” Woolworths store manager Wesley Polden said.

The Woolworths tent is not only representative of how accessible incredible Tasmanian produce is, but also Woolworths’ commitment to the Tasmanian community.

With ten different vendors making up a diverse display of Tasmanian products, the Woolworths tent was bustling with patrons enjoying free tastings of fudges, cheeses, and thai sauces, amongst other Tasmanian and Woolworths-stocked products.

And who doesn’t enjoy a free tasting? “No one ever argues with the word free!” Wes said, “and this gives people the opportunity to really try before they buy”.

“If you come to Agfest, come along and try some of these amazing Tasmanian products!”

Woolworths’ commitment to the Tasmanian community is only further exemplified through their diamond sponsorship of the Agfest event.

You will find the Woolworths tent at S49 on South Street at Agfest 2022.
