Agfest Field Days 2020 - Coronavirus Update 2

Coronavirus Update 2 - Friday March 13, 2020

As stated in our media release yesterday we will continue to respond to the global pandemic COVID-19 as circumstances continue to change.

In light of today’s events predominately being the announcement Prime Minister Scott Morrison made around 3:00PM this afternoon in a press conference that all non-essential organised gatherings of more than 500 people to be suspended from Monday March 16, 2020.

At this stage we will not be cancelling Agfest Field Days 2020. In a press conference a short time ago Tasmanian Health Minister Sarah Courtney announced that work will be done in coming days to make decisions on mass gatherings in Tasmania in wake of national advice.

The Agfest Committee will await advice from Tasmanian Government and appropriate health authorities around the suspension of non-essential gatherings over 500 people.

We will continue to respond to COVID-19 as it dynamically evolves with the appropriate authorities and take all advice given in the best interest of public health and safety.
