Scouts take up great opportunity at Agfest
It’s hard to miss, it towers above all the marquees and is one of the largest attractions on site.
The abseiling wall is popular among the kids and is run by the Scouts.
“We’re running an advanced abseiling course for 14 of our older leaders,” says Tony McDonald, a district Venturer leader and part of the Venturer’s activity team.
“While we’re running the course, we’ve also got the public in. It’s a great opportunity for our scouts to take up leadership roles,” says Tony.
This is the first time the scouts have had an abseiling wall at Agfest and they’re keen on donations from the public to help fund their broad range of activities and equipment.
