Agfest 2019 was off to a jumping start on Thursday with an impressive display of miniature ponies, showing off their horsemanship at the Equine Expo.
The ponies were the opening act to a star-studded day for horse lovers.
Barney was particularly impressive, although off to a rocky start with the arena commentator describing his first jumps as “doing demolition”. Despite the rough beginning, he was crowned champion among the ponies and won the highly competitive ‘jump-off’.
The Expo put on a star-studded day for equine enthusiasts. Demonstrations from renowned horseman Adam Sutton and masterclasses by Olympic silver-medallist Megan Jones were highlights of the day.
This year’s Equine Expo has shows to impress professional riders and intrigued observers alike.
