One of Agfest’s most loyal sponsor Tasweld returns to Agfest for another year.

Over the last 30 years, Tasweld have skyrocketed to become Tasmania’s largest supplier of safety products, personal protective equipment, work clothing and footwear, power tools, abrasives and tapes.

Tasweld’s 800sq meter Agfest site includes clothing, boots, and a large range of smaller farming gadgets.

Gary Dawson, owner of Tasweld, says there’s something for everyone at Tasweld.

While Tasweld has branches covering the state, Gary says Agfest is where Tasweld thrives.

“We come to Agfest with a big group of staff and its obvious we all really enjoy it”.

Gary says yesterday [Thursday] was one of the biggest days, sales-wise, for Tasweld with over 12,000 people wondering through the Agfest gates.

“We get a pretty good strike rate of people coming through the gate and that’s because we offer such a wide range of products”.

Gary also credits Tasweld’s success to their store offering tools with the latest technology.

“Welding equipment is getting smaller, improving technologically and cheaper … believe it or not”.
