Follow your nose to Pure Sense Candles

Tasmanian candlemaker introduces two new fragrances at Agfest 2019.

Now in her tenth year of operation and her ninth year at Agfest, candlemaker and mother of three Emma Singleton is back in 2019 representing her business, Pure Sense Candles.

This year Emma has chosen Agfest as the venue to launch her two newest scents:

Bliss and Caramello.

Operating out of her home in Ulverston, Emma manufactures a range of wax products including soy candles, palm candles, diffusers, tea lights, melts and body products.

Emma says that the volume and range of clientele is what attracts her to Agfest each year.

“We find that people come to look for us. I use my name, my face and my family on my products. If they can’t remember the name, they know the face,” Emma says.

With Mothers’ Day fast approaching, Emma has endeavoured to make her range of gift products more accessible to those on a tight budget.

“This year I focused on a low budget range so that we cater for everyone, including school children who want to have something special for mum,” she says.

Pure Sense products range in price from $5-$30 and everything is handmade. Emma’s children even get involved with the production.

“We have a strong family focus in the business. The children help, they’re involved from labelling, to wicking, to packaging.”
