Woolworths showcasing "the best [produce] in the country" at Agfest paddock

Woolworths are at Agfest for their ninth year, showcasing some of the best produce Tasmania has to offer.

At its distinctive site on South Street, the Woolies site may, at first, look like a supermarket in a paddock. But, as store manager Wesley Polden says, it’s much more than that.

“We come here to showcase our Tasmanian suppliers, it’s all about them. The goods they grow and we sell are among the best in the country, and we’re proud to be involved in their work.

Agfest is an opportunity for people to try products that might not normally be on the shopping list, but are great, fresh and local food.

Woolworths once again have teamed up with Seedlab Australia. Supported by the Department of State Growth, Seedlab’s mission is to get value added food and drink products into the local, interstate and international markets.
