Team Army brought the noise to Agfest for the first time this year rocking a mean green machine to showcase the future mechanics of the Australian Defence Force.
Team Army leader Graham Anderson was leading the exhibition on day one of Agfest after the car attracted plenty of attention on the ferry trip over.
“When we got on the ferry people were stopping and waving and tooting their horns. The kids love it,” says Mr Anderson.
The car is worked on and maintained by Australian Defence Force trainees doing their vehicle mechanic apprenticeship in their trade school training.
Team Army’s first visit to Agfest had been very well received with crowds of people surrounding the car, hoping to grab a photo opportunity during its loud static start-ups
“This is a burnout car. We normally go to supercar events and get on the track there to show off the 750 horsepower of fun. So, it’s a different environment here, but it’s going great,” Mr Anderson said.
